It’s been a great year, from the Super Bowl Playoffs traversing through to the Euro and Olympics, we are back to the NFL Playoffs and a chance to look back at all the moments of the year.

10) Let the w(h)inning end, the detestable Heat finally win with key performances from Lebron.

9) Blue jays pull of one of the most impressive off season roster deals in MLB history.  With much of the future prospects dealt, what does the future hold?

8) Mediocre Giants win again over the (this time) overrated Patriots.  2 SB in 4 years.

7) Olympics: Incredible! After 4 years, Bolt and Phelps remain dominant in their record setting gold medal hunts.  Phelps is still better!  Wow!

6) Cycling news: Hesjedal becomes the first Canadian to win the coveted Giro d’Italia, while Wiggins cruise to glory in the Tour and homeland gold in the time trials.

5) SF Giants, Kings, Chelsea (UCL), Kentucky, Alabama all win their respective leagues, with the Kings garnering the most impressive trophy win.  #8 ranked team winning the hardest cup to win with 3 sweeps and only 2 loses in the Finals.

4) Messi – 91 goals, enough said!

3) Lin – The biggest 2 week hype in sport history for an average point guard.  But it has rocked a nation and set forth forever royalty and NBA international brand building (we are talking Taiwan here, hahha).

2) Spain’s victory was dominant and no team ever has accomplished a 3 international tournament dominance.  World Best.

The Number 1 Story of the Year: Man City after 44 years of futility finally beat their cross town champions.  On a last minute goal that sealed the deal to overcome United in the most possible thrilling fashion imaginable.   It was a teary moment for not just the Light Blue supporters, but for all sports fans.
